Been wanting one of these for a while and this is the best price I've ever seen on these. $39.00 + $9.95 S/H. Just picked one up and there's still 10 left as of this posting.

Yes, even for a reissue, that is the lowest price I have seen. Once in a while these come up pre built and painted, I have seen a few noce ones. However, about half of them have poor paint jobs.

If I do wind up building/painting mine I'm going to go for a 60's monster kid style paint job. Clean and simple.

Thanks for the info, Glenn. Unfortunately, I got mine when they first came out at twice the price. I plan on painting all my kits whenever I retire (if I'm still alive to enjoy it).

The price you paid is very typical, even today. This just happens to be someone blowing them out judging by the quantity available. Retire? What's that? I'll probably have to work until I drop especially if I keep buying stuff like this.  ;)

Just got a text that my Frankie already shipped. That was fast, less than an hour after the order was placed.

Mord

Good move. You really can't tell the difference between this and the original (especially at that price).

Make sure to post pics when done. ;D Have you painted other items? Anything you would like to show?

The only model painting I've done since I was a kid was a touch up on an Aurora/Monogram Frankenstein re-issue that I have pics of in this thread.

I think I can do a nice clean simple paint job but nothing fancy like Dirtyhorse and the other pros here.

Oh ya, I remember that one. Nice job. I used to do art projects. However, trying to get things right was causing me stress lol so I sort of gave it up.

I know what you mean. Especially when I see what the UMA pro painters can do it's a bit daunting to say the least.  :)

The Aurora Mummy (or reissues) is the best way to get back into model painting. It's fairly easy to paint & gives your dry-brushing skills a work out. That's the one I'll start with (right before I die).

Nice for you guys in the US, the UK shipping costs more than the kit does!

CHEERS!

Looks like the seller restocked. They sold the first 10 available and now it shows 10 available again.

At one time this was THE in demand collectible from the sixties. I really wouldn't have thought Moebius would have trouble selling these. Before the reissue, I had seen a mint in the box one for $3,000. I think the Moebius version is an excellent substitute for the original (right down to the James Bama box art).

Yes, and according to the description the box is constructed of paper covered cardboard just like the original. Very excited to get this guy. I just hope it shows up unscathed as you know how shipping carriers can be.  :o Oh, and by the way my Sideshow glow figures arrived and they are way cool. I'll post in "latest gets" over the weekend.  :)
