Excellent! The Moebius Gigantic Frankenstein  is constructed exactly like the original. The box is identical (minus the Aurora logo).

About a year and a half ago, someone was selling this Frankenstein model with an alternate custom Glenn Strange head. You received both heads with the model. Both Mord and I were aware of it, but I didn't attempt to buy it and I don't think Mord did either. I think we are both still kicking ourselves for it. I saved the pics from the auction. I think it might be the greatest Glenn Frankenstein sculpt on a figure or model.

Yes, and according to the description the box is constructed of paper covered cardboard just like the original. Very excited to get this guy. I just hope it shows up unscathed as you know how shipping carriers can be. ... )

The box is nice, sturdy cardboard.  Suitable for long term storage of other monster goodies.

That is FANTASTIC!! I agree that this might be the greatest Glenn Strange Frankenstein sculpt on a figure or model. I love it!! Thanks for posting. Do you remember how much it was going for? Also, notice how they copied the Karloff test make up on the forehead like the James Bama artwork which technically isn't correct for the Strange version of the monster.

Yes, I did notice that about the head. Also, I do not remember the price of the Frankenstein. I think it might have been a buy it now for for like $400. However,  I could be wrong.

I didn't buy this one either (and, yes, the kicking of my own arse continues).

I got one of these heads and it was one of the last 'Solid' resin ones...
Beautiful sculpt.

I'm envious Mcdee. Can you post a pic of yours? I'd love to see it.

That would be the "Headless Hearseman" head sculpted by Tony Cipriano and the picture does not convey the INCREDIBLE textures and detail present in the sculpture!  Headless Fritz is on hiatus from kit producing, but I will see if I can get some info on availability.  :)

By all means....As I said I got one of the last ones that were solid resin, I believe the ones after were hollow, which actually would be a lot lighter (ideal for the Big Frankie conversion) Mine also came with a shoulder base  and can remain as a Bust.
Here are some shots.

One of these days I plan on mounting him one the Moebius repop of Big Frankie. Here is a link to a thread at the Clubhouse that is all about this Head....back in June 2009.....  http://theclubhouse1.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=64941&start=60

This is truly an incredible piece! Probably one of the best monster pieces I have seen.

This is fantastic! Thanks for posting the pics. I agree with what Horror Man said, this really is one of the best monster items I've ever seen. The sculpt is so dead on. I think if these were offered with the shoulder piece you've shown and finished paint everyone here would want one. I know I would. It makes a great mini bust as well as a Gigantic Frankenstein replacement head. Glenn Strange items are so hard to come by. There's just not a lot of him available to the collector.

There are a lot of uses for this head. Besides using him on giant Frankie and as a bust. You could also make a 1/2 Glenn Strange statue, puppet or doll. A simple wooden armature, padded, then adding clothing, hands and shoes. It would be so unique. You mainly see 1/8, 1/6 and 1:1 scale figures. Not really many 1/2 scale figures.

Head was available two different ways, as a bust like McDee's (whose pictures DO show Tony's incredible talent for detail and texture.  Plus it didn't hurt that Tony absolutely LOVED that James Bama artwork, and he just REALLY gave it his all on this piece!  :)). The replacement head version also included a replacement sweater insert piece making the head a perfect fit to the BF body.  I will try and get ahold of Fritz this week to check on availability.

Definitely a masterpiece of a toy/kit. I like it when you can have the original head AND the replacement head to change off. I also like the tendrils on the forehead. It's like a nod to Jack Pierce's original design.
