Id say one sticker as far as i can remember but anything was possible back in those days. Two of my aunts worked at Renzi and Come Play Plastics which was a local (Worcester) blow plastic factory. Renzi was italian and a lot of italian people worked there. Renzi Jr. is still around and has some of the old molds but not the monster mobile because i asked him about it. the mold was destroyed. He has the King Kong Bank mold still.  Also. Matt! i have the opposite version of you... i have hot pink Frankie & mint green wolfman. But i also have black wheels!

I have all-black wheels too!

It went for $1,875.00! Someone is very happy today.

The sticker is too big, so they may have stopped putting it on cars at the factory early on. That means someone that worked there might have saved a box of stickers from the dumpster. Could be sitting in their damp basement or leaky attic right now.

The average Renzi price, a few recent cases notwithstanding, is around $650-800.

This car went for $1875

Therefore, my question is answered: that is a $1000 dollar sticker.

For THAT price, a sticker better Scratch and Sniff ME, not the other way around!

I'm probably one of those notwithstanding cases, but I had to shell out $1,500 for mine. Like this one with its sticker, mine has a unique feature that sets it apart from other Renzi monster cars it has orange monsters. I've never seen another with genuine orange monsters. A nice Halloween orange. And like this one with the sticker, the auction for the one with orange monsters was highly "publicized." By the time the auction closed, we already had pages of posts about it. A unique feature + lots of online buzz = high closing price.

Does anyone know what the original packaging was for these cars?

I'm gonna guess it didn't have any. And I'll bet I have a 50/50 chance of being right!  ;D

I had a bid for $1,500 in for this car, and I already own one (thanks to an awesome  fellow UMA member)   It was worth that to me for the only known example with a sticker. And it had opposite colored monsters.

I'm gonna guess it didn't have any. And I'll bet I have a 50/50 chance of being right!  ;D

Some of the other  renzi  blowmold cars came bagged with header cards. ive  seen an ambulance with a Dr Kildare card and a blowmold phone by renzi. So  it could be possible. I would love to see the art on  one if it existed...

Of course, there's also a 50/50 chance that I'm wrong!  :(

I'd love to see that header card, too!  :)

You all may be on to something and maybe not. the ones i got from my aunt who worked at Renzi's did not bring me home freshly packaged items...most of them were throw aways with mold flaws etc. that's why i say i had a LOT of them back in the day because my aunt knew i loved this s**t and when she saw them discarded she would take them home to me. When i saw them at stores i would swear they were (despite their size) bin toys in big wire baskets. but then again I'm 59 this week and have been hit in the head a million times.... But i do remember the past better than the present. but the monster moblie sticker very well could have been on a plastic coating but i don't remember such packaging....

Well "Happy Gonna Be Your Birthday This Week", Freddie!   Hope you are surrounded by monsters!  Of course why should your birthday be any different than any other day.  All monsters all the time!

Still not difficult to have both versions....one car. Renzi did several toys using the same wheels......I display mine with big white wheels both front and back...just my preference.

Hep, I bought the Monster Car with both sets of wheels and the decal in 1955 at the gift shop on the top floor of the Empire State Building....when I was 2 1/2. Ha! No no no......the thread has been about the decal showing up on an E-bay auction.....afew posts back I credited my decal to that auction and my use of Photoshop...ha! Or was it the gift shop at Disney World in 1949? I may be confused...ha!
