Big Bad Wolf

I know this isn't monster-related but it's too cool not to share with you guys. A lost silent Sherlock Holmes film from 1916, simply titled Sherlock Holmes, was found in a French film archive. They're doing their best to restore it, and next year it has its US premiere at the San Francisco Silent Film Festival. It's the only film starring legendary Holmes actor William Gillette.

Awesome news! Gillette was said to be the finest actor ever to portray Holmes on the stage.

Not A lost Sherlock - it's one of THE lost Sherlocks! (And the rumor is - it's actually good!)

This guy who's done that play can't wait to see this one.

P.S. - Now, if Gillette's radio SPECKLED BAND could just turn up...
