Yeah, but you'll buy him anyway.

I dunno? I didn't buy that 12" Uncle Gilbert from a couple of years ago.

Yeah but that was "Uncle Gilbert" & you're probably regretting not getting him.

Not so much after the vinyl one came out.

Yeah, I don't put as much value on custom pieces as I do on fully licensed items. One big exception is Distinctive Dummies, which I place above everything.

Mezco generally puts out a quality product....lets see.

They do put out good quality products, but too many of them are way too "stylized" for my taste.

jimm

I bet you'll like them better than the retro's :)

Sometimes, that's because they can't get the main toy licenses. By inventing this new scale of figures with extreme articulation, they can bypass Mattel (DC Comics), Hasbro (Marvel Comics), etc. Since DST is winding down their UniMonsters license, Mezco was perfectly positioned to scoop it up.

I thought the DST guy (KKKang) said that they would be continuing the Universal line with some more surprises next year. Also, the Chaney lawsuit and Lugosi Jr. may limit actor likenesses to Karloff (there's only so many Frankensteins & Mummys you can get away with).

I want to want these.  If they nail The Wolfman likeness... I will sing a song.

But why are there 40,000 pics of Batman and no shots of the monsters? Boo. The world has enuff Batman product anyway.

And I will sing back up!

Yeah, forget all those Batman pics, I really want to see the monsters! I am concerned about one thing however. Funko paid for Lugosi rights, so if Mezco is doing 6inch cloth figures, I wonder if it's still possible to get 6inch Legacy UMs from Funko.

I guess it would depend on what the deal is between Lugosi and Funko.

I don't like Creatures in "jammies".

How about a generic male figure, or better yet a Ricou Browning or Ben Chapman) wearing a rubber Creature suit.  Not saying that that's in the cards but, I bet you'd buy that.

Yeah, that'd be cool, but Sideshow already did that.
