I'm trying to identify two sci-fi flicks I saw at separate Saturday afternoon matinees at the Hyland Theatre in the early sixties:

1. In one an astronaut returns from space with a growth on his arm, which then continues to spread and spread. Could that be the Quatermass Experiment?

2. In another a group of people is hiding out in a high rise building as robots who have taken over the city stalk the streets below. One of the robots then starts climbing up the stairs. The robots look like the one in The Day the Earth Stood Still poster. Could that be the movie?

???
