From the other forums I've seen response has been overwhelmingly positive for the entire ReAction line with only a few dissatisfied rumblings here and there!

I guess all us grumps congregate here.

Found this interview at http://www.actionfigureinsider.com/reacting-to-reaction-10-questions-with-brian-mariotti-of-funko/

Hmmmmm.  I wonder who conducted that interview....?  ;-)

Regarding carded product at Toy Fair...those are still mock ups. There are many stages lumped in to what gets classified as prototypes., many of which can be on display at trade shows such as Toy Fair.

I don't know what changes we can expect on Universal Monsters, if any. However, with those slated for sale in August...there's certainly time. These won't go into production until a few months prior to that. So, they may see some refinement. They may not. However, Funko generally puts out pretty solid product so I'm willing to wait and see until we have production pieces in hand.

Vampires too, as long as they don't sparkle. Werewolves also, as long as they don't hang out in the forest in short shorts.

I could see making a mock up (or two) but 5 or 6+ of each figure on card seems excessive; although nowadays you can eaily make money on the secondary market.  Prototypes/mock ups are big business.

But, you need to keep in mind the purpose of Toy Fair. It's not a consumer show. It's an industry trade show geared towards corporate buyers placing product orders from now through Christmas. Manufacturers showing product are trying to entice buyers into ordering their wares and sometimes that's  by helping the buyer envision what product will look like on the store shelves/pegs...hence multiple mockups.

I hope someone from Funko chimes in on this thread. Whenever a rep chimes in, a lot of stuff gets a little nicer. I will not hesitate to tell anyone, however, that Bride looks like Bea Arthur, lol. feelings be hanged. Cause when i looked at it---thats immediately who I saw. >:D BUT I AM STILL GONNA BUY HER! In the end, thats all that matters to them.

as for all this Star Wars chatter:
IT HAD PETER CUSHING IN IT.

So---it gets a pass from em. heck---even the prequels get a pass from me. CHRISTOPHER LEE IS IN 2 OF THEM.

I've watched both of these men in far worse films, lol.

Makes sense.........if those corporate buyers have never stepped into a toy aisle?!

Some chatter heard at Super7/Funko booth during NYTF 2014-
"Gee, golly look at these figures."
"Who ever thought they'd be carded?"
"Look at how they have a picture of the character on the card, what a great-glorious idea!"
"Wow, what a concept, it'll revolutionize the toy industry!"
"And look how they placed them all together in groups on those little pegs."

I suppose it's all in the presentation, especially when dealing with the corporate world zombies.

I never claimed it made sense. Just trying to offer a bit of insight as to why things are done a certain way. The toy industry is a weird beast.

Well... I still will purchase them if the price is cheap enough.  I'm not looking for the actual likeness of the actors anyway.  The line up is cool(not really sure I need a McFly figure....Hello in there McFly)  I would love a 3 3/4"  Crow and Pliskin figure.  Besides Burger king already nailed the likeness for the Karloff Monster.   What I am after is a affordable "Fun" line to collect.  Which I think the reaction line might just be.

And I wanna be the one to tweak the Maud of Frankenstien.

Online as low as $10 (and maybe the same if Target picks them up), probably $15 if you go to Toys R Us.

You hit the nail on the head and answered your own question.  They really are that dumb.
