Lost Pre-"Citizen Kane" Welles Film Found
« on: August 08, 2013, 11:43:20 PM »
Well... Film bits, actually.

But they would make a nice extra for a boxed Orson Welles' Film Collection.

I would rather they had found a complete director's cut of "The Great Ambersons".

(I didn't head this thread with the title "Too Much Johnson".  I know better than give that straight line to this group.)

Would that be, The Magnificent Ambersons?

I would be curious to see the clips.

Yeah.  My fingers were typing faster than my mind thinks.

Wise man. Yeah, that "Johnson" line would have been "meat for the beast". The quipping frenzy would have been awe inspiring. Then, after Scatter, everyone else would weigh in. ;D

The missing footage from "The Magnificent Ambersons" appearing would bring such joy to me as to be inexpressable.

But it will never happen.

Yeah. The studio destroyed the excised film specifically to prevent Welles from ever restoring it.

So sad.

I resemble that remark.
