It's only June, but I already know what I'm wearing for Halloween.

Several months ago I found a dress I knew I had to own: The print was covered in classic Universal monsters, including Frankenstein, Dracula and the Mummy.

This week Universal Studios has launched a contest tailor-made for fans of those old monster movies. Their "Design A Character" effort asks us to "reinvent" a classic monster for the chance to have it brought to life at the Hollywood red-carpet event for the annual Halloween Horror Nights festivities.

The complete rules are here, but the gist is they're looking for a new look for Dracula, the Creature From the Black Lagoon, etc. You can submit an illustration or written description by July 1. After that, fans will vote online for their favorites.

I saw this a little too late this year.

Does anyone here go to HHN in Orlando or Hollywood. My wife and I go every year. Its EPIC for horror geeks like us!

Last year they had a Classic Monsters house that I was in love with.
