But my main quibble with the film is the way it approaches the action sequences. Perhaps I'm out of step with the times, but I don't see the point in making a SUPERMAN movie where it's painfully obvious all the actors are standing in front of a green screen and the "epic" digital action is out of focus and cut with attention deficit sufferers in mind. When Christopher Reeve played Superman, you could actually see his derring-do whereas in MAN OF STEEL the action is cut so quickly you have to guess.
Yep, you're out of step with the times; your description sounds like every action/sci-fi/super hero movie made in the last decade!
Not true; Christopher Nolan's BATMAN trilogy is a rare example of art and commerce served.
The fight scenes were still edited in the typical "ADD" style!
No they weren't; the whole point of Bruce's training with Ra's was to learn how to use his surroundings as a cover, to strike at the enemy before they were even aware of his presence. That's a clever battle tactic and shows Bruce using the training he learned at the beginning of the film, so the fight scenes were edited to adhere to that style of combat.
Saw Superm...ooops, MAN OF STEEL today.Sucked.You know that nostalgia you have for Chris Reeve when you hear the theme to the 70's Superman? Kids who see this version will not, 30 years from now, have that same feeling of a sweet childhood memory.
