Wonderful start to the new season: The return of the Master(Missy), the Shadow Proclamation, UNIT, Davros(!!) and Skaro, a Dalek from the original Dead Planet story, Capaldi wearing Patrick Troughton's costume, the voiceovers from previous Doctors Tom, Peter, Colin, Sylvester and David, footage of Tom Baker's Doctor and a cracking performance by Peter Capaldi as the Doctor!

Cannot wait for the second part to this story! If the rest of the season is as good as this, this could be one of the all-time classic seasons. :)
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

Capaldi isn't wearing the Troughton costume. This is his look from "Last Christmas." It's the same as pretty much the rest of the season, except he's wearing a black hoodie over a collarless shirt, with his frock coat over the hoodie. The checked pants are new, yes, and reminiscent of Troughton. But, the sunglasses are pure Capaldi.

Hold The Internet! DAVID TENNANT IS RETURNING AS THE TENTH DOCTOR
Earlier this year it was announced that [Big Finish Productions] had finally secured the rights to produce ["Doctor Who"] audio adventures featuring New Series characters, including Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, River Song, Strax, Weeping Angels, Torchwood, etc - but we didn't see this one coming. BlogtorWho has reported that David Tennant and Catherine Tate will reunite as the Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble.

A question for anyone who has seen the Tom Baker (Fourth Doctor) episodes on BBC America this week, and also has seen them prior to now:

Were any (or all so far) edited? Thanks.

They have been edited into ominbus versions, basically. That is, the individual episode titles and end credits of each story have been removed as if to make it one big story.

I was thinking they would take scenes out to make room for more commercials...but this is good to hear! Bad enough I can't hear the ending theme music :( But glad they are airing them, regardless!

They're probably using the same cuts that are on the DVDs.
