Even with the frayed cord and without the box, this one would have sold for much more.  Congrats!

I don't think the boxes are that interesting and wouldn't want to pay the extra for one. The cord is easy enough to fix, but I wonder what's wrong in the neck area. Looks like his head is coming off!

Nothing is wrong with the neck, Mike.  That's exactly how they were manufactured, except this one seems to have come up a little more than most.  The hard plastic made it impossible for the neck to be connected to the body and still allow for smooth movement.  You can play around with it yourself to make it look better, but it will probably affect the movement.  In this particular case, the first step I would take would be to see if the upper body can slide up a few centimeters to cover the bottom portion of the mechanism.  Either way, it should not be that noticeable in person and on display.   :)

Thanks, AOF. It just didn't look like the one in the blue bkgd photo.  I'll see what I can do with it.

Yeah.  That's one of the stock images used for the Creature Motion-ette.  They always made them look better for the catalogs.  Still, they are the best references out there -- especially for how the figures should look.  In a lot of instances, the figures will be missing an accessory or they will have a different costume, so it's always nice to reference the retail images.  It's not such an issue with the Universal line as it is with the earlier Motion-ettes.

The 17" one has a longer plastic neck that hides the mech.

Yeah.  It still looks odd, though.

When I get mine out at Halloween, I'll upload a pic.  :D

I have never used mine and it is still in the box.

Mike, the body on yours seems to sit about 1/2" lower than mine. The top of the body piece should be flush with the lower inner mechanism. Not sure if can be adjusted (I would think somehow it could) if you wanted to.

There is a total 1/2"-3/4" gap between the head and body, which appears exactly right for movement.

Thanks for the info, Bob! I'm hoping it will be a simple fix.

I'd probably say it's more like a 1/4".  I think the picture makes it look worse than it is.  Depending on the assembly on his, it may be as simple as scooting the upper body a tad.

My Mr. Bones has a similar problem, but with his feet.  I tightened the bolts and he looked great.
