It's killing me that I have yet to catch one of these TCM special big screen presentations and they've been showing some of my favorites.  Glad the 2 of you got to enjoy it for me.

Just got back.......what a FABULOUS film!! Neither of us had ever seen it before, and it was simply awesome!!

Troubling development though........I don't see ANY classic films upcoming. SAY IT AIN'T SO.

I've seen and loved this flick on the little screen for many years .. haven't seen it much in the past decade or so and the other hadn't seen it at all but a few months ago, our local 'second run' theatre had big screening ... It ROCKS!

I always cry when Atticus is leaving the court room and the people in the gallery tell Scout .. "Miss Jean Louise, stand up. Your father's passin'."

Flower,.that."Your.father's.passin'...".line.is.a.killer,.for.sure,.in.a.screenplaythat's.replete.with..memorable.lines.
Wonderful.how.well.Lee's.book.translated.to.film,.with.only.the.occasional.narration.carrying.the.plot/words.
from.event.to.event...both.the.book.and.the.movie.are.national.treasures,.without.doubt.

Some of the houses in that film were actual houses brought to Universal Studios, from Chavez Ravine in L.A., when they were clearing that area to build Dodger Stadium.

Good movie! I had never seen it either until it played at our local second run house called the Fox Theatre at the beach this past spring.

And I really like how it depicts the way I remember growing up. Kids just hung around outside all day with each other.

Is this the end of the run for the TMC/Fathom/Universal Classics series? All I remember was "The Birds", "Frankenstein" and "Bride" double feature, and "Mockingbird". Surely this isn't over? Please?

We had LAWRENCE OF ARABIA here, in early October, but I missed that, too.  I've seen TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD several times, but really wanted to see it on the big screen. F & BOF were awesome, though!
