I finally got the big Wolf Man button from Elwar that I've been after for years now. I still have one Green Duck pin and one that's rusty to upgrade, but this was a huge hole in the button collection to fill.
Yes Rob, it NEVER ends... which is a lot of the fun! Thanks Bogey. I don't have a picture of it, I have only been told of it's existence.michblk, no I missed the BIN too. I've had saves searches running on eBay, TRYING to filter out the USPS stamp pins (just because it's the most prolific, not because I have any disdain for them) for years. Most every day I get a search result in email, and it's almost always some modern Wolf Man buttons, a stamp button that got through, or every once in a while something slightly more interesting. The morning that BIN went up, I saw another hit on that in my email but assumed it was going to be just as it is every other morning for 4 or 5 years... so I put off opening and checking it and when I did I was too late. If I had opened it first thing, I would have had it.It was this...http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110368414639The disadvantage of a broad search spectrum is that it gives you a lot of useless results. The advantage is that it picks up a badly titled and categorized Wolf Man button you otherwise would not see. $2 more than that BIN and relentlessness pays off, finally!
So the listing you linked to is the one you won, but there was another BIN that hit around the same time for about $50? Interesting that two of these rare buttons hit at the same time.
I'm too broke to even look............but at least I can live vicariously through you guys!! Good stuff!!
