Ray, when you get the box, I'd love to see before and after comparisons.

That picture shows the "before."  I'll take an "after" when I get it back.  It probably won't look very different, though.

I've always been curious about the restoration process. In 99% of cases, I'm against it. But I've got a couple of Jumbo Machinder boxes that are a bit beat and they're just too rare for me to ever hope to actually upgrade. If I ever have money again, I might look into it. Oh and nice toy, too! ;)

I was never really into the Six Million Dollar Man, but my friend told me about that Bigfoot episode a few years back, then posted this clip from it. Cracks me up...

What amazes me is how many of you guys have professional cases to display your collections in. Kudos to everyone out there with industrial glass display cases. You're the ones that inspire me!

Here is one of those souvenir Frankenstein dolls from Universal Studios. I got him a couple months ago.  I thought he was missing his tag until I took these photos and felt something under his costume.  I unfastened his jacket and discovered the tag tucked into his pants.  Now I need to know how the tag was originally fastened so I can reattach it.  I think it was tied around his wrist with a piece of string.  Anyone know?

Nothing impressive (and it wasn't really a "find", just another Ebay win) but I did score the first series of Johnny Lightnings, for the price I just couldn't resist.

I never even knew about this set upon initial release and never did track down the 2nd series.....12 down, 12 to go!

Ray, just between you and me (I don't think that anyone else reads these forums so I think we are safe) what were you doing looking into Frankensteins pants?   Tags indeed.

Oh, I read 'em, I just don't get much opportunity to show off my finds, as I don't get to find much while out to sea.  And it doesn't help that I gave up online shopping for Lent.

The Frankie doll I hope to find when I eventually get to Universal Studios.  The Frankie walking toy unnerves me for some reason.  I have a few choice Johnny Lighnings but passed on the chance to buy them all.  I am extremely envious of SpiderTick's collection.  I'm even more envious of Ray's lawn mowin' Big Foot!

See? Read them all!

Yes, a  piece of thick soft white cottony twine tied tight around his left wrist.

Thank you!

Why was I looking in his pants?  I wasn't.  I was handling him to take the photos and felt something stiff under the fabric.  So I unfastened his clothes and ...uh...oh, nevermind.

Nothing to be ashamed of, Raymond. I'm sure that sort of thing happens to toy collectors all the time.
