Wow, that's wild.  I would have never guessed it was a Moonfan.  Great mask with or without hair!

Bobby, are you sure this mask is supposed to be Bela in The Ape Man? That make-up was actually fairly minimal and the hair didn’t cover the lower forehead, cheeks, and upper and lower lips as it does here. To me, this make-over looks a lot more like Lugosi as the Sayer of the Law in Island of Lost Souls where the “manimal” features take over the full face.

Whatever the character, Laura Lady does remarkable work. Also, she uses real yak hair which I’m pretty sure is what we see here – the more tangly, white-highlighted whiskers – on the lower face. A great, one-of-a-kind piece, Toy Ranch!

Looks more like Lugosi as the Man-Beast in "Island of lost Souls"......

Well, in his email reply, David referred to it as the Ape Man, but that's what I had called it when I asked him.  It's a hairy faced moonfan mask and a cool one at that :D

I found this yesterday at the local Goodwill Outlet store. It's a 1992 Big Frank by Playskool. The eyes light up and he says four different things when you press his buttons. And it was only 35˘! Can't beat that price.

That is cool, don't you just love finding stuff at thrift shops?  It's so "my lucky day". And yes please, let's teach our toddlers about Frankenstein along with Mother Goose and Big Bird!

Our Goodwill store sucks.  Their prices are goofy.  I've seen chipped figurines from the dollar store marked at $2 each.  What gives?

A couple weeks ago Max brought us news of the "Plazma Kreaps", and yesterday I found the last two I needed. I made a little zombie scene using them plus an "African Shaman" figure from Target. In the background is a haunted birdhouse I'm getting ready for this Spring.
The Zombie is especially cool and super bloody!

The Vampire Bat is also nice

Shaman comes on a base with leopard, skull and drum

Funny how you can take a bunch of cheap toys and make a cool set-up - yep it's called "playing"
Enjoy!
