I also picked up the large size Miles Teves Frankenstein bust off eBay via Dan Roebuck.  Dan did a great job of wrapping it up safe for the trip and here it is...

This is the larger, 1:1 scale resin version that came unpainted and with the neck electrodes as seperate pieces.  It was painted by the amazing Cathy Tharp.  Here it is next to the more common vinyl version:

I suppose I should call this "My Finds from the Last Few Weeks", since these are all items I've picked up over the last month or so. First up is a recent kaiju purchase, the CCP Max Toys exclusive King Ghidorah vinyl figure:

Another recent kaiju purchase was this Popy Baragon from the 1970's:

A pair of Remco Creature from the Black Lagoon items:

and another Creature-related item:

The recent release of the Mego Mad Monsters trading cards inspired me to rebuild my Mego Monsters collection, so I put together a set of both Type 1 and Type 2 figures:

and of course, I picked up an incomplete Mego Mugato in a lot of other Mego items and decided to upgrade his look:

Hehe, the original outfit was pretty disco-ish to begin with, it didn't seem like much of a stretch ;)

Gotta show some kaiju love too (even tho this is the UMA board).  I love the CCP vinyls.  Let me know if you ever need any help getting some of these.  I have a couple of great connections in Japan - and I go every so often. ;)

I couldn't decide if I should put this under the 'weekly finds' or 'Mad Labs' thread, I guess it works under either. Anyway, a long-elusive grail has arrived!

Wow. I love that!  I always wanted one of those.  I've never seen the inside of the lab kit.

Any chance you can post more pics?

Thanks for posting this!!

Wow, Bob.  I've only ever seen a couple of those before.  Very nice score.  Elusive is right!

You can see it better here:

I actually picked up a couple of them. For some reason, I've been drawn to monster candy items lately ;)

Hey all,
This is in reply to the query pertaining to the Rodan toy by Imperial. This one in the above links is stamped "Imperial Made in China 1986"  [no name] on his inner left wing. I don't recall it ever having a hang tag, but i'm sure i found it in one of those counter display boxes at Kay Bee or someplace like that. HE ALSO SQUEAKS! Just wondering if this is the one everyone was talking about? Please excuse my crappy photography, but i JUST opened the digital camera i got for Xmas TODAY and have a long way to go in learning how to use it. Hope this helps to solve the mystery surrounding the toy. I can take more pics if anyone desires. Enjoy,
                                       MG

I'm not sure I acquire stuff often enough for this to be called a "weekly find" (the problem is that I get paid weakly), but here is something Jane and I got recently:

[/img]

The clock on the left (which can project the time out in a beam of light) came in the mail because we sent off UPC codes from Pop-Tarts boxes, and the smaller skull came with some bath soap. Both are Pirates of the Carribean items. (Jane LOVES the Pirates films.)

We felt like kids again getting such neat items as premiums!

Hey, those are great premiums Max.  Very cool!  Pirate skulls are good stuff.  Nice to see that they are making some cool premiums again.
