What a terrific find paul. I can remember like it was yesterday my brother and a friend would show Monster movies in our cellar for like 10 cents to the neighborhood kids. My mom would pop popcorn and serves drinks. I still have Abbott and Costello meets Frankenstein ( I think that's the one ) Super 8mm movies. Great find!

I made a couple Estate Sale finds today...first off let me just say...

MONSTER MOVIE PARTAY AT PAUL'S HOUSE!

A Bell&Howell Super8 (compatible with 8mm) projector - LIKE NEW! If this was ever used it was barely, then packed back up in original styrofoam packing and put back in it's original box, with the receipt, registration card and manual. Clean as a whistle.

Including reels and little black reel adapters.

....I think my movies are in good condition, But if not, what the heck - I'll just invite Raymond over and make my own -

This 8mm Keystone Zoom movie camera is not in as good condition as the projector but it seems to work, it winds and releases smoothly and also has a case and manual. I think there are places that develop 8mm film...
My price on the whole lot was ---10.00 (half price day at the sale)....I'm by no means an 8mm movie buff so I might consider selling either or both of these items, that said, since I only have "I Was A Teenage Frankenstein"  on Super 8 I'd love to try a movie viewing session. Good thing it came with instructions!
Arnyhoo that's my weekly find and I'm stickin' to it.

Shoot, that's so freaking cool and retro that I would just sit those up  alongside my monsters.

Don't listen to Scatter, half the fun on having those will be reliving those old monster memories again.  Sweet find Packy, you lucky dog.  ;D

We had a barbeque at my house today for my daughter's 13th birthday (Her birthday was actually during the week - Tuesday).  Yesterday while driving around for last minute stuff, I saw a sign that the local VFW was having their indoor flea market that they do a few times a year.  I stopped in and a woman was selling sealed DVDs/sets for $1 each.  None of them were dollar store/PD cheapies.  They were all regular releases.  The only real horror one was Kolchak: The Night Stalker (the original series).  I also got some single movies - THE PETRIFIED FOREST with Bogie, MURDER BY DECREE with Plummer as Holmes looking for Jack the Ripper, THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES and THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES with Rathbone as Holmes.  I also got Volumes 1, 2, and 3 of The Sherlock Holmes Collection.  The original stickerr price on each of these 3 sets was $70 each.

I was referring to Packy's suggestion that he might SELL them..........I'd rather keep them on the shelf than do that.

Love that projector!  I remember my family watching Swiss Family Robinson on one of those babies.

I love that projector so much I would even sit through a showing of "Swiss Family Robinson" to get it.

Well.........not really.

Packy - I used to have that same Bell and Howell projector. It's a pretty good one, never had any problems with it.Y'know sometimes projectors will eat your film or be difficult to load, but not that one.I still have lots of movies.I might still have that projector packed away somewhere, too. That's a good find.

Big Swan

tho my recent find isn't monster related i thought i would mention it.was in a local goodwill store last week and came across the beatles third american album{something new} in vg shape.only paid a dollar for it.thought that was a fair price!very seldom do you run across any beatles stuff
