i think the date is wrong? Does this look like the 50's to you? I have doubts.

Looks right to me. The year 1952 would have closely resembled the forties.

This is my new favorite thread and only on pic so far!  Complete coolness

Thread duty (thanks to others):

Those are awesome pics, but you could take your post a whole level higher by labelling at least the location of each if not the year.

 :)

This is one of the coolest threads. :D :D :D

It really does need locations though.

i wish theaters did stuff like that today.

Me I wish we still had downtowns like the ones pictured.

Walmarts and suburban malls just don't cut it for me.

I believe this was Universal's last ditch to revive the monster interest.  I thought they double billed them earlier as well.  What's great though is seeing the mash of monster stuff over the years.  Must be a reproduction but still great to see the original Dracula movie poster there.  A really cool photo and a awesome thread.

Very cool, I have to ask the question though ,is there a possibility of a coffee table book of these. I think it would be an awesome concept starting with the silent years and working it's way thru today , just a thought . I'm wondering whether many of these are in the public domain or from the use of private collectors.
I'm going to go thru it again , I enjoyed it that much, again thanks

Free Vomit Bag?

 :o

I wonder if those are now valuable collector's items? And would usage have enhanced or reduced their value?
