I have only bought one record of new (non-reissue) music in two years.

I only buy old albums (on CD) that I never had, or CD replacements of ones I did. I haven't bought any new bands since the '80s, except blues artists, like The Black Crowes, or Kenny Wayne Shepard.

There's been some good stuff out these last couple years, from what I catch on the radio while driving.
(Y'all should know by now that I'm perpetually stuck on 90's-2000's garage/trash and pretty much any low-fi sound.)

But these two come to mind: Greta Van Fleet (fresh-out-of-high-school kids repackaging that Led Zep sound. [Not to say it's a bad thing, but it's an obvious influence])  And Starcrawler (check out "I Love LA" on the Youtube.  The frontgirl is kinda cute and could easily be the offspring of Iggy Pop)

You stoner/metal fans might enjoy these freebies - Relapse Record's Sampler downloads off Bandcamp

Totally free, or make a donation if you feel so inclined.

Being samplers, they're obviously a grab bag.  Great stuff from Red Fang, Torche, Windhand, etc.  Some punk stuff, and some "Cookie Monster" sounding singers, which I immediately delete.

Fond memories of this from my youth. These guys were energy defined.

The Who - Who Are You

This is where it ended for me. After the death of Keith Moon, they never regained the magic. Great band.

They just released an album, right?

News to me! Things like that, so many years later, usually disappoint.

It came out before Christmas. The reviews were not favorable. Their best work were the classic 60s singles and the Who's Next album, imo.

It's only half The Who. Same with that 2006 album. They're really Pete Townsend albums.

Some pretty good '70s singles, too, like "Join Together". "Who's Next" is my favorite album, But there are plenty more excellent ones.

I agree! Who's Next is one of the greatest albums of all-time. Perhaps my favourite track from the album:
