Totally, BC's version of Summertime Blues is classic. I really dig that era of acid rock bands: Blue Cheer, Vanilla Fudge, early Deep Purple, Iron Butterfly etc. Then of course in Detroit around the same time you get awesome garage rock bands like MC5, the Stooges, Alice Cooper . . . just a great time for hard rock music.
Great boxed set. Includes their first 4 albums and Mirrors.
What the hell happened to album 5 (w/ "Godzilla")? I don't know what some of these record execs are thinking?
I was going to go, until I found out they didn't have a single original member. They might as well be a B.O.C. cover band, for all I care.
How is that not a cover band? I know bands lose and gain members, but come on!

Well, I went to Amoeba Records looking for the first two B.O.C., and noticed I could get this 5 disc set for the same price. Those first two Lps with the bonus tracks were worth the price alone. The 3rd album was pretty good, but the female back-up singers bugged me. The fourth album was more commercial, but still good. After that, I didn't care for their other releases. They're playing at a place two miles from my house Wednesday. I was going to go, until I found out they didn't have a single original member. They might as well be a B.O.C. cover band, for all I care. No Buck Dharma, no money.
