So fifty years ago this very week Peter Green, Danny Kirwan and John McVie of Fleetwood Mac backed up bluesman/pianist Otis Spann and his longtime drummer S.P. Leary at the Tempo Sound Studio in New York and recorded the LP The Biggest Thing Since Colossus:

I bought it a few months after I acquired Then Play On in 1970(?). The LP could very well be the single best collaboration between an old American bluesman and a group of younger blues-rock musicians. Here's one of my favourite tracks from the LP:

This is a great LP from 1971 by Chicago bluesman John Hammond:

It may well be his very best! Here's one of my favourite cuts from the album:

I don't get IT. Back in the early 90's I could totally bust a move as good as this or BETTER. Not sure why I had some people laughing and others buying me beers. 6'1 198# bodybuilder just busting it out in a club. F'N A ,where did all the good times go?! And ME being a HUGE Metal Head. LOVE this song.

You've been jamming some great records lately. I love "Born Again"---true cult classic. Poor engineering on that record which was too bad because the songs rule.

If you like Stranded in the Jungle, you gotta love Bad Detective. Musically  almost sounds
like a rockin version of something you'd hear at a barn dance.
