Last week, our local PBS station ran the entire Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung) by Wagner.  Several years ago the Metropolitan Opera staged the whole series:

    Das Rheingold
    Die Walküre
    Siegfried
    Götterdämmerung

That is four days of four-hour German operas.
To tell the truth, I think I have a crush on Deborah Voight--maybe its the red hair and the armor. ;)
