The cd/Lp is now out of print. They were a kind of Punk band.

Green River: Creedence Clearwater Revival

Santana: Caravanserai- still my favorite album of theirs.

Tom Fogerty: First solo album - Had never listened to Tom on his own. He had a very good voice, but it sounded an awful lot like his more famous brother, John. His range was a bit lower though.  I didn't find his originals very good musically. That, along with sounding like John, probably kept him from being successful.

ALIEN Original soundtrack: Jerry. Goldsmith- such a genius score. Another of my favorites.

Is that the album that came out in 1979? It's my favorite, because it's all Goldsmith and contains the cues that were cut, by Scott, from the movie

Yep, that's the one. I bought the LP when it first came out. I love a lot of the great, classic film composers but if pressed to choose my top favorite, I'd have to go with Goldsmith.

I remember hearing or reading Jerry Goldsmith talking about the film and how much Brett's death scene scared the crap out of him. He was saying the intense feeling of dread going on and on was really getting  to him, lol.
