Glassjaw: Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence (2000)

Still my favorite post-hardcore record. Saw those guys in Detroit around 2002. They don't play many live shows, so it was pretty sick.

Gay for Johnny Depp: The Politics of Cruelty (2007)
Gay for Johnny Depp: What Doesn't Kill You, Eventually Kills You (2011)

Probably the most punk rock name for a band I've heard in a while
Total spazzcore. Gnarly lyrics. Great song titles too. "Very Little Good Happens Between 3 and 4am."

If you like hardcore punk and/or extreme metal, I recommend these records.

You've Got Foetus on Your Breath - Deaf
Ist album by Foetus is a joyously noisy mess.

The Stooges - Live at Goose Lake August 8th, 1970
- Just bought this record Saturday. It was released on the 50th anniversary of the concert by Jack White's 3rd Man Records (1,000 piece cream vinyl edition with silk screened alternate cover). It is a perfect soundboard recording of the Stooges final concert with the original line-up. Fan-f*ckin-tastic! I remember seeing this show broadcast on T.V. back then. Iggy slathered peanut butter on his chest while standing on the crowd. The camera cut away when Ig flipped them off. It was the first time teenage me saw a singer jump off stage (hence the stage dive was born).

That's awesome Mord. Jack White's warehouse/store/studio is near the university campus in Detroit. Cool place.
