On Ebay, I recently came across this http://www.ebay.com/itm/310417906787?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619
It is very cool and I'd love to have it, but I'm not sure about paying $140 for a USED chess set. Can anyone tell me more about this set? Also what it's original cost was and what a fair price for it would be? It's really cool..but I'm a cheap skate. LOL
creaturerevenge:
It's a pretty sweet chess set. I picked it up at Universal in Orlando when it first came out. It's pretty awesome, and that price isn't terrible considering it's getting up there in age at was $100 when it came out. It's not a cheap set, it's really nice quality. If I didn't already have one I would probably pick it up.

I'd love a piece like this one day when I have the ability to display such a piece.

I remember seeing this set at a gaming store when it came out, and the $100 retail price tag kept me from pulling the trigger. I think asking $125 for it now isn't out of the proper price range at all. If the economy were better, I think it might get as much as $200 to $250, but as it is now, he'll be lucky to get the original retail price. He has already rejected three offers, but from my experience, I'm sure they were insulting low ball offers of 20 bucks from resellers hoping he was desperate.
