Pet Sematary (2019)~For the most part it was ok but the ending was dumb, changed only to be different than the novel and 1989 with no thought that it completely ignored themes (of grief/loss) explored in the novel/89 version.

Dementia 13 (1963) - I remember really liking this one the last few times I had seen it. But that was probably 6 or 7 years ago and I must say, I found it to be an absolute slog this time around. Took me three or four tries to get through.

THE  MANSTER (1962) - I've watched this dozens of times through my life and I never get tired of it.

Love the famous 'eye' scene and the screaming " Leeeaave meeee alooooonnneee!"

The Alligator People, 1959 - A newlywed's search for the husband who left her alone on a train, leads her to a mysterious bayou house - and a physician who's attempts to regenerate damaged human tissue, combining a serum derived from alligator glands and radioactive bombardment, don't go quite as planned.

Beverly Garland, Richard Crane, George Macready, Freida Inescort and Lon Chaney Jr.

Last gasp of 1950's sci-fi.  One of the "what would you get if you crossed..." kind of tales.  Sort of a swamp-bound MANT!  Superior black and white, wide-screen cinematography from the Fox Studios.

Scream Factory's image and sound are great - but so was the old DVD.  What I was hoping to get was a great, info-filled Commentary and maybe a Mystery Science Theater spoof.

I think Scream dropped the ball with this one.  The Audio Commentary was provided by James Gonis, Shawn Sheridan, Larry Strothe, and Matt Weinhold, who were identified as hosts for something called The Monster Party Podcast..

It is usually a bad idea having 4 people talking at random, and often at the same time, on any Commentary.  But these guys’ voices were annoyingly similar. And at times they did indeed sound like your average guys at a party.  Too much laughing and making comments that provided little, if any, real information about the movie being shown.

I knew I was in trouble when the movie opened with credits over shots that looked suspiciously like the Black Lagoon and none of the commentors seemed to notice - too busy laughing.  They did seem to be reading from lists of actors’ imdb credits from time-to-time, but it just wasn’t enough.

I don’t think I will seek out their podcast.

Fun movie, looking great.  Lousy commentary.
