American Psycho  - To me, this film is like a well-written song. There are so many quotable lines and memorable sights. Great film. New York always looks great.

Stay Alive (2006)-
More like "Stay away". It's about a computer game where you die in the same way your character dies in the game. What can you expect from a movie starring Frankie Muniz (Malcolm in the Middle)?

The Body Snatcher, 1945
- Following in the pioneering, altruistic footsteps of Burke and Hare, William Henry Pratt undertakes the business of aiding the advancement of medical knowledge - with some missteps.

Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Henry Daniell.  (Boris & Bela's last movie pairing.)

It's 1830 and medical practitioners are engaging in as much practice as is practicable, given current restrictions.

The Scream Factory Blu-Ray is clear and hiss-free.  The Commentary and Documentary about Val Lewton are pretty good.

My favorite scene in the film is when the Snatcher eliminates an unwanted partner from sharing in his financial gains.

Most memorable moment is when he permits his attention to stray from the task at hand to also gently stroke his passing pet cat.  Given the unpredictability of cats' movements, that was an inspired bit of improvisation.

Halloween at Aunt Ethel's (2019)~I was hoping this wasn't going to be as bad as it looked....dumb story, bad acting, bad dialogue, crappy make-up/props.

Skeletons in the Closet (2018)~Parts of this were good but overall it was disjointed.

Captain Marvel~Another winner from Marvel.

I was afraid of that.

I have a copy, but haven't watched it yet.

White Slaves of Chinatown  (1964) - Black and white nudie flick. Part of the lascivious "Olga" series. It's weird seeing naked women running around in black and white.

Hard Candy (2005)  -  Not a horror film, though it kinda becomes one toward the middle. A photographer has an online relationship with an underage girl. They decide to meet in person (always a great idea). After a little conversation at a local diner, they decide to go back to his place (another fine idea). A short time later, it dawns on Mr. Photog that the innocent girl has something else in mind. Starring Patrick Wilson and Ellen Page, I highly recommend this.
