I agree: Reeves was good in River's Edge and Point Break, no he isn't a great actor, but some roles fit him. Only seen parts of the original, but this role may fit him as well.

I really don't want to see The Day the Earth Stood Still, however my wife is a huge sci fi fan, (I'm the horror fan) therefore I will be seeing it soon.

However, last movie:  I Am Legend  (again, love this movie)

I watched "Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth" (1992) this morning. And yes, Godzilla movies are also a great source of calcium since they contain so much cheese ;)
