Oh Lundy....I'm so sorry. Those are just the worst wastes of film. Are you talking about the "victim" movies or the "finding love after heartbreak" movies? Either way, they are AWFUL!!  Who is still watching these things??

Both, victim & heartbreak (yeccchh)!! My ex & step-daughter enjoyed a steady diet of them.  They allowed & enjoyed my monster stuff, though. Compromise...!

When I get to a point when I realize the movie I'm watching cannot and will not get any better I turn it off--usually within 15 to 20 minutes.  Therefore, many stinkers I have never seen all the way through.  But one that I did watch all the way thorugh that was a complete waste of time was one called Two Lovers--it was movie night and my wife's picked the movie.  I had started Transformers 2, didn't finish it.

G.I.Joe, I'm pretty sure gave me a tumor that I managed to vomit out of my eye socket while walking out of the theatre.

I actually almost rent it to watch it, but changed my mind because it doesn't look like the G.I. Joe that I used to know while remembering trailers and reviews that bash it up with a stick petty good. So I went home and watch 1980's cartoon version of G.I. Joe the movie instead, a VHS tape movie that I used to watch as a kid and still have it.

Looking back, I glad that it's very wise choice that I made, because I'm a fan of 1960's, and 1980's G.I.Joe stuff (even marvel comic books too). I'm more of a retro guy and would hate all these today's crazy higher tech power in the newer G.I. Joe movie, LOL! High tech is better to me in 1980's G.I. Joe anyway.

Transformers 2 just falls into group of movies that it is SO bad that it is funny, my dad was the one picked it out without realizing that it's bad. My sister and my dad just laugh hard at it because it was so stupid that we really don't talk about it after that because it's not very clean movie (we are clean family who don't swear or doing anything dirty). My dad didn't even brother to check out third one after second one, it is most likely it's could be more like second movie too.
Collecting? It's what I do!

Wow...I have seen every movie listed here  (even 2 Lovers- I think it's that one with Joaquin Phoenix), and they are all awful! I liked the nannites in GI Joe, and I thought Duke was ok, and the accelerator suit- but it wasn't a good movie overall. West Side Story- not my cup o' tea.
I should have changed my Grease answer to something that hit me later......The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas!!!  It's just wrong! Those guys in that locker room scene were the worst. If you haven't seen it- DON'T!  You've been warned. I saw it on HBO a few yaers ago, and I watched it with my hands over my face like those guys watching snuff films in that 8 MM movie!  Oh, and speaking of 8 MM.- wow....that was a stinker!

I'll see your Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and raise you Paint Your Wagon Clint Eastwood sings. Ray Walston kinda sings and Lee Marvin tries--kinda. Three hours long, its a musical set in a western gold rush town.  Perhaps just a little worse than Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

Would you believe that turkey was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar in 1954? ::)

It lost to On the Waterfront.

That was nominated??  :o

Man you learn something new everyday. For example everyone was operating on massive amounts of LSD in 1954.

"What is it" starring Crispin Glover; the film that Crisper Glover felt was so important, he chose that over  "Back to the Future 2" followed closely with "Wild Wild West', starring Will Smith.  "Ebonia, how could you be so cruel?"
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

And Kyle MacLachlan would run by screaming "San Dimas High School Football Rules!!!!!"
Why would he even do that movie?? I think I liked the sparkly costumes in Showgirls and it had a plot. But Grease makes me feel sweaty and claustrophobic!
I'm not a big fan of any of the players in Grease, and I hate all the musical numbers except for the Sha Na Na cameo.

Sorry, count me among the likers of GREASE.  Besides, GREASE 2 was dreadful and not even Michelle Pfieffer could save it.

Rob

My wife LOVES Grease 2.  It's unfriggin'believable.

I have to say that another of my wife's favs is SOOOO brutal:  Chicago.  Holy GEEZ.  I want to be scalded in the eyes with hot grease, then bludgeoned with the freaking pan it came out of....

Another one that both me and gramps have no love for--West Side Story. I'm not watching two street gangs settle their differences with a dance. Did you just read what I typed?? What were they thinking??? I mean what is the initiation to get into these gangs? It must be something that there are no words to describe! Can you imagine what the cops must think when they here "there is a 167 in progress--dancing in an alley way".....I will never forget my uncle who LOVES this crapolla saying "Oh this is a great scene" and my grandfather who was rough around the edges to say the least going "Yeah.....dance it out fella's" Then we went upstairs and played with walkie talkies.

Grandpa 1 West Side Story 0

LOL. ;D ;D  Yeah.  It's like 2 hours worth of the 'Beat It' video with Michael Jackson.  I always wanted to drive a friggin' van right through all of the dancing gang members.

And those movies with Gene Kelley and Frank Sinatra as sailors-------dancing.  REALLY, fellas?  I wanted to knee cap them as they tap danced.  We'll all be speaking German with these guys defending us.

You said Gene Kelley but I just thought of Fred Astaire--who was in Holiday Inn with Bing Crosby, a movie that I actually love was a staple in my house growing up around the holidays.

Now here is the kicker--everyone seems to looooooooooove White Christmas....and I can't stand it. I will give it it's credit there is some pretty epic song and dance crap going on but why call it White Christmas when the only thing Christmas about it is the 1st 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes!!

I mean Danny Kay dressed up as some beatnik and singing about crap no one gives a sh*t about really captures the true spirit of the holiday.

It's like they plaguerized the premise of the original but warped it in some weird way. The place is the same but Bing doesn't own it....his military superior does? What? Why use the same place if nothing else coincides with it?? It's just confusing people who thought it was a direct sequel!

And let me get this straight--Bing Crosby who is quite a few years older than he was in Holiday Inn, is not only still a traveling show person....but he's serving active duty as a Pvt in WWII??......He's gotta be like the oldest Private in the history of the United States Army!!

White Christmas my ass...this movie sucks and I might sue my parents for forcing me to watch it. Screw this, put on Frosty.

Now you have me started, BL. >:(

Look at these friggin' guys.  I just want to crash a truck right through the wall and ram both of them as they hold hands tippytoe-tapping, then brain the 2 of them with a shovel.  Can you imagine a WWII veteran watching this crap on Memorial Day?

And here you go, Gene Kelley dancing with some boy in a deserted alley, thrusting their pelvises at each other.  Yeah.  I want THAT guy manning an anti-aircraft gun with liberty on the line. :o
