My list of favourite garage rock tracks from the sixties!

Any attempt to define "garage rock" by classifying certain bands as garage bands and then using the discography of those bands is doomed to failure. This is quite simply because just about every band starts out as a garage band. Some move on from there but their early work is still garage rock. I therefore regard any tunes that were simple enough to have been widely covered in the sixties by the boys practicing in the garage next door as being garage rock.

I gave Foxhound (a certain shiftless neighbourhood lackey of mine) instructions to compile a list of the best garage rock tunes thus defined from my extensive music library. Here it is - the list that is. Foxhound's pic is toward the bottom of the page.
