I have always loved the Addams Family too and would love to live in an old Victorian someday, which is possible, there are plenty still standing in our area.

One of my favorite pieces in my own collection is a lithograph signed by Carles Addams, although I got a pretty cool Birthday gift last year, which I treasure as well.

I will leave links, because I have yet to have luck with posting pictures.

I always enjoyed Charles Addams' drawings and the TV show. I have some Addams' stuff like a few books and magazines and this card game...

I picked up this item also at a flea market for $5...what a deal!
I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity...

Right on, brother! That is an awesome video! ...ahem...*recaptures composure* Now, concerning the appreciation thread proper...I fell in love with the Addams Family when it first started in 1964. I was five years old and I remember the two "monster family" shows which ran around the same time (the other being The Munsters, of course). I really liked The Munsters, but I loved the "weirdo family with the strangely pretty woman in black". It would be years before I learned the Addams Family was based on the cartoons of Charles Addams. All those outlandish characters were so bizarre and appealing to me: Lurch, Thing, Cousin Itt, Fester, even Grandmama. Wednesday was so cute and cunningly evil. Gomez was hilarious (LOVE John Astin's take on the character). And then there was dear Morticia. Even at the age of five I somehow knew she was powerfully sexy...I didn't understand it, but I knew it. The sexual tension between Morticia and Gomez was like a monster in itself, which was unheard of on other TV shows of that time. Ozzy and Harriet they weren't! Addams Family is one of my all time favorite shows. Thank the fates for DVD so that this and other great shows are always at our fingertips.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...
