Ate a bowl of Frankenberry this morning and it seems like they changed the recipe.  Seems like it use to taste better?

Evidently it's no longer frosted in deference to your expanding waistline:

Yep, really killed the flavor when they took away the frosted coating!

The only cereal box I have is a Super Sugar Crisp box, but with a monster premium ad on it.  My understanding is that there are only 3 or 4 of these known to exist.

Those are awesome

On second thought, I could use a bit of Franken Berry as well. I have a housemate who reaches for raspberry flavoured items all the time although I myself much prefer blueberry. Count Chocula though is sold everywhere around here all year round so that's not a requirement.

It sure would be but I know of only one cereal box collector among our membership, that being Missdead13. I might get into cereal box and cereal premium collecting one day, but not just yet.

Speaking of shirts here is my monster cereal shirt;  Pretty sure that this came out in 2006 as a mail-away promo.

That is weird I have the same t-shirt but nothing was printed on the sleeves on mine just the main image on the chest. I also have 2 records, 3 cd's, 5 bobbleheads, a pin collection, plushes, well just about everything I can get my hands on related to GM Monster Cereals

Yep, really killed the flavor when they took away the frosted coating!  Make the monster cereal bars, gooing them up with a layer of melted marshmallow really brings that nostalgic flavor back!
The marshmallow changes are easy to see over the years but the actual cereal itself takes careful scrutiny of the cereal boxes and fond memories sifting. They started out small and quite hard with a sugary coat similar to frosted flakes or frosted alpha-bits, then over the years lost the sugar coating became bigger and more "airy," this is about the time when they switched dyes or something because they no longer changed the milk color a nice brown, pink or blue. Then the worst of all they switched to peanut flour (I have a peanut allergy.) I have written a few letters and even called them once to voice my dismay over the general limited availability  and taste of my once favorite cereals. Stupid General Mills with their whole grain kick and their cowtowing to the health nazi moms out there who think anything sugar must be banned with their serious reduction in sugar in all of their cereals, reminds me of the NYC mayor moron trying to ban large sodas.  If I want to buy a box of sugar laden rot my teeth goodness I should be able to! Parents who don't like dentists can buy cheerios or total they don't need to ruin everything else.
