Just curious.... Does anyone here care about and/or collect 70's era General Mills monster cereal boxes?

I love them (Especially Frankenberry).  I love all of the novelty merchandise like the new plush baby versions of the characters.  I wish that they would have included Yummy Mummy and Fruit Brute in the set!

I love all old cereal boxes not just the monster ones. To this point though I've never taken up collecting them.

Yes, please do. We'd love to see your box collection.

I wish I could still find Frankenberry cereal.

I just bought some the other day. If you have a Big Lots near you, you might be able to find it. I bought it for 1.50.

Seems like Target carries all 3 monster cereals around Halloween every year (and then they go on clearance).

What I understand is that in order to maintain copyrights and/or trademarks, they have to produce a certain amount each year. That may be totally bogus information, but it would explain the rare seasonal appearance of these old cereals.

The only cereal box I have is a Super Sugar Crisp box, but with a monster premium ad on it.  My understanding is that there are only 3 or 4 of these known to exist.

Cool!  What year are those from?  In today's world Post would be probably be shut down for having a cereal that boasts SUGAR in the name and features a 1970's black urban stereotype mascot named SugarBear, LOL.  Now they're called "Golden Crisp" and have Diggem' the Frog.

Diggem' is the mascot for Kellog's Honey Smacks; Sugar Bear is still with Post cereals, Golden Crisp!
