I have a confession... I've never had any of those cereals. :(

heresy !!!

but I will confess, I've eaten enough for both you and I and all the other members here on UMA.

and that kinda answers one of Hep's questions.
wanted to know if I eat all my cereal myself, or buy the boxes from another source.
Alot of it is my own collection, [ cereal I bought and ate myself ] -
and I also have some vintage boxes that I probably did eat ,like from ages 2/3 on, but
my parents werent gonna let me save the box and be a " hoarder" , as Scatter so affectionately referred to me as... lol
so now,  when I come across boxes , either at antique malls or Ebay or wherever,
and I recognize the box, i buy it .

funny thing is I do remember " hoarding"/keeping stuff like that , even as a kid,
and my mom would come in my room with a trashbag, and just start mowing it down, throwing all my "stuff" away :(
If she only knew she was doing me a diservice, by making me an even WORSE/ ( lets say BETTER !!! ) collector as an adult .. hahaha

I have purchased vintage boxes of cereal that are flattened out already,
and purchased them still together with the cereal in it !
both are pricier than youd think. but i cannot help myself. .  when youre a lil kid, sitting at the table eating your cereal, staring at the box,
it somehow gets burned into your brain, and when I see those images now as an adult, I feel a compulsion to buy it.
I guess it is the same thing with all my toys and monsters.
Nostalgia :D

I live for the day when I walk into Target just as the Halloween season has barely kicked off (second week of September) and see boxes of redesigned, new Fruit Brute and Yummy Mummy next to the regulars.

I still remember when the Monster cereals were shaped like buttons and had a completely different taste than the newer ghost shapes and when they added ghost and later bat marshmallows and monstermallows. I had a bowl with my family this morning.

I still remember when the Monster cereals were shaped like buttons and had a completely different taste...

Yep, really killed the flavor when they took away the frosted coating!  Make the monster cereal bars, gooing them up with a layer of melted marshmallow really brings that nostalgic flavor back!
