Hey Gang--

Hope all is well with everyone. I've secured tickets for this Double Screening tomorrow night (Thursday) May 10th at the Vista Theatre at the crossroads of Hollywood and Sunset in Los Feliz (east Hollywood). House of Dark Shadows 6pm showing, QA with Celebs from old series, followed by new Burton Depp "Dark Shadows" approx 9pm.

Mrs. OG cannot make it now, due to logistics and LM is coming down with something, and I being the actual DS fan, will be attending but have an extra ticket that I'd rather not see go to waste, so...

Any LA area based UMA soldiers interested in attending, please send me an email right away and we can exchange numbers, etc!

Best, Rob

Lucky, lucky LA soldiers...... You better get some kind of interview.... It would be nice to see the movie... and if it has some epic failure attached to it,  you will know what questions to ask the geniuses afterwards lol.

Sorry that we did not connect Miss Dead. It was a somewhat loose event. I got your number and tried calling after the House of Dark Shadows showing.
Saw Danny there, and all of the celebs were very nice. The Autograph segment was all free of charge, and Christopher Pennock, Lisa Richards, Nancy Barret, Jerry Lacy, Jim Storm, Roger Davis and Sy Tomasoff were amongst those who I'd never seen before. All very sweet and gracious people. Got photos of most and autographs from all including Kathryn and Lara.

It was like seeing House of Ds for the 1st time as it's been a very long time for me. The New DS started very late due to autographs, and unfortunately was pretty much what I expected, but did have some fun twists, and really did cover alot of ground nostalgic ground with former story lines and performance inspired homages to original series cast performances and production. It was a very fun evening.

The Vista theatre is one of those great old movie theatres, built in the 1920's with an awesome Egyptian theme.   I loved going to movies there, prior to leaving Los Angeles in 1996.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

Misdead13, I'm curious, is Hollywood the land of screenings I imagine it to be?
I live in NY and go to the cinema 2-3 times a week. Usually I attend at least one screening a week.
I've often wondered if in LA one could attend a screening virtually every night.
Is that the case?

And Ed Wood used to rent out an office space in the same building!

Absolutely. you can easily see a screening a week, but more like every night if you wanted. Between the screenings and the
concerts /live music at all the venues here, esp. like on Sunset ( Key Club, the Whiskey, HOBlues, the Rainbow, the Palladium, etc ),
you could do something every single night, and I do
Great place to live/be  ;)

forgot to add... they even have screenings at the hollywood forever cemetary here on saturday nights,( and in october almost nightly.. )

tomorrow is a Hitchcock movie that I will go to, and nxt week is Silence of the Lambs   http://www.cemeteryscreenings.com
