Crap! I started to pick her up, but I had the other little statues in one hand and was afraid I'd drop it, so I put her down and left! Oh man, if it's two sided, yeah, I think it is a must have now. Thanks for the info. I'll head back soon as I can.

Paul,
"Fakenstein" [I love it!] arrived today safe and sound. The paint job looks even BETTER in person! Seriously, had they thought to make it look more the way you did, the bust would have been MUCH more appealing. Attached is a photo of him alongside my "Bad Hair Day Lurch" and vintage Creature nodder. Thanks again for being so thoughtful and for making this site a continuous joy to be a part of!
                                                        Best,
                                                                  Mike

Yay! I'm glad he survived the trip but even gladder that you like him! And it's the others in this group who have set the examples for generosity in the group (you know who you are) we should thank! I just follow the leaders. Thanks Mike for letting me know and for letting me share the fun  (  :

Packy, you got me all fired up about this little guy. I loved what you did with him and I was inspired by your work. When I picked up mine at Michaels, he just didn't look Frankenstein-y enough for me. He looked more like Liberace with a flat top and some bolts in his neck. So, I got out my Aves putty and made some additions.

Then I got out my paints and had some fun.

Now he looks almost like Peter Lorre made up as the Monster. What do you think?

Never mind Bette Davis eyes---he's got Peter Lorre eyes.

Super cool What a gas! Nice hair job and nice everything. We have our own UMA  "Monster Customizing Kit" and we'll make that dimpled cutey-pie into a cosmic  powered fiend yet! Anyone else gonna try one?

I'd be willing to try but, alas, there's no such store near me(not for 100 miles or so).

You know, this sort of thing could be used as a fund raiser for the UMA Toy Tour. Assorted, or sordid, UMA members could customize & paint one of these and then they could be put up for auction to help raise the $$$ to send the Toy Tour out into the wide world.
Hey, it worked for my "Bard-O-Lounger" chair---final bid was $700 and the chair is going to go live in Omaha, NE with someone active in the Omaha Community Playhouse.

Wow, it reall does look like Lorre as Frankenstein!  Jim, I really get a kick out of your work - you are one talented guy.

MEEK - if you or anyone else wants one of these, I can check the Michaels by my workplace and try to pick one up for you.

Thank you.

I'd be first in line to put this little feller and others like him up for auction to help raise funds for the next Toy Tour. I like doing this quick, off the wall stuff.
