Just got a reply from Jakks Pacific, as to why these toys are not showing up on the East Coast:

Thank you for your interest in our products! The s.l.u.g will be available at Toys R Us, I believe at this time the stock is limited, but we hope to have it fully out and released by this Fall. We thank you for your patronage.

Looks like we're NOT gonna see these releasing in the spring, which toy companies normally do (they push their toys in the spring and fall). I have been toy collecting for 15 years. Spring is when tons of new toys come out, because kids are getting out of school. Not so this year, because of our stinking economy, thanks to the folks in Washington who have royally screwed us up....hopefully, that will all change this November, and we can get some intelligent people in there who know how to run things. Looks like this is gonna be a lame spring for toy collecting, I'm seeing September dates for so many toys.....this sucks!

We don't have them here in Bartlesville yet that I have found.  We don't have a Toy R Us here but do in Tulsa.  Wish Walmart would carry them.  Walmart do have walking dead figures though.

I know where that is at, too bad you still wasn't there, we could have a blast!  Bartlesville is only 40 miles away from Tulsa, and I will probably have to go to Tulsa to find Slugs.
Long live the UMA!

I finally found these things at Walgreens.

I stop in every few days for odds and ends and they have em at the check out for 1.99. So far I have 4 of them and I just get 1 or 2 everytime I go.

Fun stuff, definitely reminds me of M.U.S.C.L.E.s as a kid.....I think John B. Gone is my favorite so far.

Hey I just checked the site, haha that is some fun and clever stuff! Did anyone notice Might-Bite Mac's profile?? Likes: Pigeons and Knocking Suckas Out!!--Totally Mike Tyson and the fact that they put "Mac" in his name--"Little Mac" was the guy you played as in Mike Tyson's Punch Out on NES. I wonder.......

Anyway the site is pretty cool and very kid friendly, I'm impressed!

They are cool!  My Walgreen's didn't have any, but I got one of the coffins with 12 figures off of ebay for ten bucks!  I need to get the ones that are only in the packs that have three or four of them in them.  Also would like the collector case for them.  They remind me of M.U.S.C.L.E.S. too when I was a kid.

These toys have finally hit the East Coast (after only being available on the West Coast, last spring). It only took 'em 6 months to get here! You can find them in Target and Kmart. Unfortunately, Series #1 never made it to the East Coast, so they finally released these mass market only to find Series #2 is the only thing available out there.
Would have been nice for them to distribute Series #1 first, but hey, nothing makes sense in toy marketing/distribution anymore since the economy is still bottomed out.

There's a Christmas set out that (I think) are a Target exclusive-

4 3-Packs make up the Christmas set-
You get 2 X-Mas Zombies and one rereleased Zombie Hunter in each set.
