The Zach box is AWESOME! When you make the template i'd LOVE to make up a bunch of them on card stock paper to fill up w/candy and leave for him at Chiller this fall to hand out to the kids who visit his table.

Thanks, that would be cool! Might have to make a few minor changes, like an actual ingredients list (don't want the FDA on our asses!), for instance. Buy some hard tack (or whatever will keep a long time) candy well enough ahead of time and send me a list of the ingredients. Don't forget the toy, either. Maybe you could get a box of cheap plastic skull rings (or similar gumball type item)?

I am super interested in a set! As to the fourth of the hosts appearing, there is really only one choice: Morgus The Magnificent. He goes all the way back to the original "Shock" package, and has more-or-less hung in there (Very like Zacherley) to present day. He wasn't "my" host, but he is one of the best remembered of the original wave of hosts.

A short time back I tried my hand at creating art for packaging of a fictional line of Horror Host action figures. (I called it "Classic SHOCK!") After much consideration, I settled on Vampira, Zacherley, Ghoulardi...And Morgus.

It still sounds right to me.

If you get the Oriental Trading Company Catalog, among thier many geegaws and doodads they sell little rubber skeltons about 2-1/2 inches in length. You get hundreds of them for not a lot of coin, and they'd be perfect for the purpose. I'm actually thinking about doing just this for a promotion of my own this October.

By the way, Mike, i have to say, since I didn't before: the imagination you used in tweaking the classic design for the hosts is brilliant. It really creates the sense of period, It looks like something that might actually have been made back in the day. Stellar work, just stellar.

Sounds like a winner, to me! Plus, that would make one host, each, from the north, south, east and west. Double plus, I found a good pic of him!

Chicago's original Svengoolie is worthy.

True, but his show didn't start till 1970. I was goin' for '50s early '60s.

Ghoulardi is another big name that might fit in well.

Already had him down, so it looks like Zacherly, Vampira, Morgus The Magnificent and Ghoulardi. Anybody wants any more, make yer own damn box!  :D

Mike, that's a great idea! Halloween candy should start haunting the aisles of all the stores soon. I'll pick out something appropriate plus a bag of small Halloween party trinkets, or something and let you know the ingredients ASAP. Maybe i'll go with those Gummy Body Parts. They're individually wrapped and will last a while. How cool to have the boxes include an edible ear, finger, eyeball, etc? I don't know how many i'll actually make [could get expensive, eating up printer ink cartridges] but will be sure to have Zach sign one for you and mail it to you for all your unselfish efforts. What a terrific little keepsake! Thanks again,

Hey Mike

Do you happen to have a larger jpg of this photo of Zach? This is the largest one I could find and I need one at least twice that for the large pic of the box. I tried just enlarging it, but it looks kinda crappy.

Late to the game...but I just wanted to second the vote for Morgus.
He's certainly worthy...as is the Legendary Count Gore De Vol (Washington Horror Host)
