It is a thing of Beauty, it doesn't matter how you display something like that as long as it is displayed prominently.
Where did you get it? i was looking to see if anything like that was out there and saw nothing.
Score one to you for finding it!

Their catalog description is fudged just a bit, though.

"Created from historic drawings, this family crest of Vlad the Impaler heralds the vampire known as Count Dracula."

Um, no it doesn't. VLAD DRACULA and House Draculesti never used this coat of arms. It was completely made up for "House of Frankenstein" and other Universal films.

The actual seal of Vlad Dracula:

Vlad III also would have displayed the banner of Wallachia:

And he would've used the Wallachian coat of arms:

It's a Design Toscano exclusive.

Since it appears Factory Ent.'s Medallion of Dracula has been delayed, I'm thinking of getting this now.

Now on sale! Just $59.95!
Granted, the price recently increased from $69.99 to $74.99, but, still, $10.05 cheaper than it originally was.

Ours is definitely a Toscano household. Their decorative MardiGras/Carnivale masks are beautiful
and of course I've had a copy of Lugosifan1's title crest up on my wall for years >

I find the bat at the top of the shield is interesting. The bat would not become associated with Dracula, until Bram Stoker's novel. He added the bat to his story, because he had heard about blood sucking bats in the Americas. Vampire bats would have been unheard of in Wallachia, during Vlad Dracul's time.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?
