Mayhap the computer thinks I'm typing a naughty word--how about "snickering"? Will that pass muster with the automatic Politically Correct function? Ha! A PC PC.

"Wow! Where'd you get the Don Post Frankenstein mask box? Did ya get to scan it?"

Excellent question friend!

As a matter of fact, I just suggested to Ray (I know he wanted to scan it) that he do so and make the scans available to all here so that, like the PHOENIX CANDY BOXES , everyone here could have one.

Btw, let's alter the back  (one of you photshop gurus could help, I'm sure) so that it says reprint on it, somewhere.

Don't want future generations buying fakes.

Would someone please coordinate that with Ray.
Then we should mak eit so that it is only available to members and not lurkers.

Anyway, the display looks AMAZING! Great work to all involved.

Wow! That'd be so cool! You are "the man"!

Btw, let's alter the back

Not a problem! We can make good and sure nobody will mistake it for a real one.

That is very kind of you, Danny; THANKS!  And hey, it was a real honor to set up the Frankenstein mask display with the box.  It gave me goosebumps just holding it.

It was a long and busy weekend for us all at Wonderfest, but we had a great time.  I was able to spend time with a few of my best friends in the world, and together we helped spread some monster toy enjoyment to the attendees.  It was a real pleasure, and one that I don't get to indulge in nearly as often as I would like to.  One last toast (and there were a lot of them)...To friends far and near; may we never lose sight of what is truly important in our lives...one another.

Howdy all,

The journey began with my picking up Terry at O'hare airport and the drive to the Budget van rental place took us down Army Trail Road.  How appropriate.  The display made it safely back to Chicago and was carefully unloaded from the van back to its resting place in my employer's warehouse...until next year.

Everyone's flickr account pics posted capture many of the shots that I took.  I wanted to post a number of them here that you might enjoy.  Hope this doesn't adversely affect space at our site.

Uncle Terry with my daughter Hannah.  Terry's the first strange man that Hannah took an instant liking to.

IT COULD WORK!

One false move and you're screwed!

Awww!  So smiley.  So happy.  So early in the assembly.  ::)

Coming together...

Oh boy...see what happens when you start getting loopy?

Raymond turning invisible!  (Actually him just standing up but kinda cool!)

HEROES!  Elizabeth and Dave Haney

How the hell are we ever going to finish on time?

Mummy toys ready for insertion

Raymond's creative juices flowing...

Tribute to Ben Chapman...

The display complete

MY Big Frankie in the display!  Very honored to have him there and FINALLY a chance to show case the talents of JIM BERTGES who lovingly built and painted him.  Thank you, Jim!!

Probably my favorite model at the show.  Really an amazing sculpt and paint job.

Raymond and Nicole (the human form of Coffin Ray and his faithful disciple)

Hail, hail the gangs (nearly) all here.
Front:  Creepy Jeff, Frank Dietz, Harry Woodbury, Chris White and Raymond Castile.
Back:  FMOMPLS Terry, Baron Timothy, Chuck Jeffers, Andy Williams, Monsterscene Steve, Tim Keegan, Fred Camp, Nicole and Ms. Drac (LOVE this picture!)

Garou and Penny Dreadful (fangtastic pose by these two!)

The general and Timothy's Frankenstein Monster (awesome make up, Baron!)

Coffin Ray and disciple Nicole prepare for the Rondos

General Terry accepts the Rondo for Scary Terry

Coffin Ray and disciple Nicole present the Rondo to Monster Kid of the Year MiKAYal SchlesINGER!!!!!

Nice try, Terry.  Covering up the name "Beatty" doesn't make it yours!

Coffin Ray VS Garou the Wolf Man (could be Coffin Ray's next movie?)

Screening of Blind Date of Coffin Joe in the Old Dark Clubhouse (Really fun and very well received!)

There has to be something better on TV than that!

Oh well, guess not.

Already looking forward to next year.   ;D
