Jeff, thank you for letting me attend the show in spirit.
You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

Very nicely done guys. I love how you designed those backdrops. I wish my schedule would have allowed me to attend. Thanks to all those who posted pics. I'm really enjoying them.

I have only 3 Wonderfest photos to show--(I dunno why, but I didn't take many).

Me, with beloved Bob & Kathy Burns--

The beautiful section in the UMA Toy Tour devoted to remembering Ben Chapman--

And as my cuz Sara couldn't attend W-fest this year, she wanted me to show Frank Dietz how she framed a wonderful V. Price piece she commissioned him to do--so I took a photo of Frank with it--

Thanks all for posting photos, it makes us feel a part of something we were unable to attend.

Mega-dittos from me on thanx to all who took the time to share Wonderfest pix! My one good eye is going to need some of those Kharis eyedrops that were handed out in the Old Dark Clubhouse after looking at 'em all!!!

Also, terrific job on the UMA Toy Display - which reminds me, could someone please ID this item that was in the upper left of the Mummy case? i don't think I've ever seen it before - thanx!

That's a 1975 Creepy Creatures Mummy puzzle, assembled.  A dealer had a boxed one at Wonderfest, right next to a boxed Dracula from the same series.  They also made Frankenstein and Jekyll/Hyde.

Wow, now that's service, thanks for the fast response Ray! ;D

Y'know, I've seen that puzzle countless times over the years but never paid it much attention because the box front is such a generic mummy image... I see now the puzzle itself (and the back of the box) is based on this Mummy's Tomb still:

I can't tell from the image in the UMA gallery, does the face on the puzzle look like Chaney Jr. Kharis (one closed eye, etc.)?

I think it does have one eye closed, but I wouldn't say it bears much resemblance to Chaney Jr.

Thanx for all the info Ray, I may just keep an eye out for one anyway since it's based on that Mummy's Tomb still.

And apologies to all for momentarily hijacking the wonderful Wonderfest pics thread...

I remember being given that puzzle-- by my grandparents I believe-- and being very happy to get it. But I didn't like the bandages on the face! I knew what mummies looked like-- I'd seen mummies in FM and in National Geographic-- and the ones I saw never had bandages on the face! ;)

Wish I still had that puzzle. Oh, what slips through your fingers!

The puzzle in the display is my childhood puzzle.  Actually, quite a lot of my childhood toys have ended up in the display over the years.
