Seriously though while I'd be more than happy to oblige in principle to help out,
a) he's kind of petrified around the garden ornament I stuck him on [I think it's a cartoon dragon] - I reckon he'll crack apart if I try to remove him; and
b) I'm in southern Australia. Assuming he came off in more or less his "shape" ..*koff* .. I'd need to pack him in a comparably sized box otherwise if I shoved him into anything smaller I guarantee he'd crack up and all you'd get is a box of flakes. He was pretty much made of potato chip before I stuck him in the sun and rain. And that shipping exercise would set you back maybe fifty to eighty bucks ...... just off the top of my eBay-to-the-States head ..... 

I'm not even sure this can technically be said to be latex any more.

No problem! I throw it out to the members than, if anyone has a mask, or section of mask, has has deteriorated beyond repair, please don't throw it away! Let me encase part of it in resin as an  experiment.

it might be a while but i have a topstone Dracula mask that has a nose hole in it if your interested? It greatly pained me to see this mask start to crumble cause of the fond memories.

I have a favor to ask; about a year or so ago in one of the threads the question was asked if encasing a latex item in resin would preserve it. I don't really think it is practical but I'd love to give it a try.

If you are going to throw the mask away, may I have it? I'd happily pay postage.

That was in reference to the Frankie fair prize that was going to pieces. I brought up encasing something that couldn't be preserved by conventional means in resin so it wouldn't be exposed to oxygen. I'd be VERY interested in the results of this experiment Mike.

Yes I am. However, please be aware I will cut it up to preserve only a small piece, so if you have sentimental attachment this might not be a good idea. However if you are good with it, PM me and we will work out details.

Yup, that was your idea. Looks like we may have a test subject. However, it is a rather impractical solution except for perhaps a very unusual circumstance.

Oh i see well i would hate to see the old chap cut up but i think i have a green goblin mask that crapped out on me you can have. Let me see if i can find him.
