Hi All -

My latest trophy! Freshly killed in Perfection, Nevada!

(Actually freshly purchased from propstore)

I got this great Shrieker head from the Tremors TV series - I did a payment plan but when it showed up I was slightly disappointed as it WAS cast in 4 separate pieces, but it was FIRMLY held together on a heavy steel structure, and the parts were all filled with foam resin - There as no articulation so the mouth could not open -  (And even if it did, the inside of the mouth was totally unpainted and empty )

I thought long and hard about how to fix this, and eventually my solution was to cut the steel, build a new frame with the mouth open, and add an inner mouth - It still cant open and close, but its was cooler open!

I built the frame, got an inner mouth  (I know - I actually got an inner mouth - crazy huh - The mold for the head even though it was produced by a different company, came from the same mold as the Tremors 2 creatures - ) and put it together and painted it -
Eventually I am going to do a faux wood "trophy" mount  for it - But for now its on my wall as is -

Its BIG - mouth open from top to bottom and side to side its probably close to 3 square feet.
Left is how I got it, right is now

Oh that's cool! You really did a fantastic job on the re-boot!  I can just imagine that baby hung over a fireplace or in a leather furnished den- you have a real treasure, tylerh. How long did it take you to modify the piece? 3 sq. feet sounds outstanding! I will look forward to your follow up pictures after you hang it up- just make sure you get someone to help you, because it looks heavy   :)
