Hey, troops!! I just got off the Creepy Classics web site and Classic Media, the folks behind the recent, beautifully done DVD editions of classic Godzilla films, are releasing a two disc special DVD edition of Rodan and War Of The Gargantuas. The release date is scheduled for Sept.9th and each disc includes both the Japanese and English language prints and will retail for $19.95. For any kaiju fan or monster kid this edition is a must have to replace the poorly produced DVDs and VHS tapes that have been put out in the past.
I've never seen the Frankenstein movie that Gargantuas was a sequel too, but I recall seeing this one when I was a wee lad, and watched Ultraman every weekday afternoon. It may have been the first non-Zilla kaiju flick I saw. I need to own this one, but I was hoping it would be packaged with Frankenstein Conquers the World.
You need to do yourself a favor and pick up the "Frankenstein Conquers the World" DVD. It has both the original Japanese and American versions and is alot of fun. This was one of my favorite kaiju flicks as a kid, and hey, it's got Frankenstein in it! George
Sorry to correct you Tom, it was a female airline employee at Haneda airport that Gaira (The Green Gargantua) made a nosh of. How come I know this stuff, but I can never find my cell phone?
