Apparently she resides in a film Museum in France. Beautiful.

She's held up surprisingly well. I saw the Mother Bates from "Psycho 2" on display at the Dunes Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City in the late '80s. It was part of an on-loan installation from Universal of props and costumes. They also had the 12-foot Galactica from the original "Battlestar Galactica" series, and the 35-foot animatronic shark from "Jaws: The Revenge." Every half hour it would "swim" and gnash its teeth for about 5 minutes, while the "Jaws Theme" played.

Man, what I wouldn't give to have Mrs Bates staring down off a shelf in my house.
We're all here because we're not all there.

The head was a gift to the MUSEE DU CINEMA (Paris) from Alfred Hitchcock himself.

It's in remarkable condition! That's a piece Factory Ent. should explore, since they have the Universal Monsters license and Universal owns "Psycho."

I would buy it---esp. if it looked exactly like the original. She's aged very well. I guess ol' Norman knew his stuff when it came to taxidermy. ;) ;)

I saved some really good shots of it from someone who was there and saw it up close >

As an added bonus: the prop from "Psycho 2", resting comfortably in a private collection out west >

Sometimes a little too comfortably!
