Construction Has Started
« on: April 26, 2013, 11:00:19 PM »
Now that my son is married and moved out and my daughter has finally met a good guy so I don't see her much, I have some unused space in my basement. My wife gave me the green light to clean out that area and I can expand my Universal Room. I have been on vacation this past week and it took me 3 days just to clean it up enough to start framing. When the room is done the whole dimensions will be 14 1/2 X 40 '   I really need the space.  I have stuff piled in front of other stuff and it looks junky. I am going to use the new section for my models and the old for the other Universal collectables. It is going to take some time to finish because I have to  juggle time and money now but at least it is almost all framed.

Right on!  This goes without saying, but - post pics when you're done!

Steve .. it's great that your kids are happy and doing well. Now you are getting your just reward ..  ;D

I'm always impressed by people who can build things. Looking forward to seeing the finished project.

Steve- That sounds like it's going to be a gigantic room! You are going to have such a wonderful display space! Someday I am going to move all the Legos out of our downstairs room and build a proper monster space.  Take your time and enjoy the process, my friend. And I am also happy to hear that your children are doing well- that's all we hope for when they are little   :)
