Some MUNSTERS stuff
« on: July 03, 2011, 09:22:30 PM »
I know everyone likes the Munsters, so I thought I'd post some of my stuff.

Here's the '60's MUNSTERS ViewMaster set. It comes with the three reels, the envelope with the nice photo and a booklet with some illustrations on it.

I've got three 1960's MUNSTERS records. This one has instrumental theme music played by Milton Delugg and his orchestra. Not only does it have the MUNSTERS theme but it also has the theme from the ADDAMS FAMILY and other monster related themes like the OUTER LIMITS and the ALFRED HITCHCOCK THEME, BEWITCHED and several original compositions by Delugg like THEME FOR A MUMMY, THEME FOR DRACULA, THEME FOR FRANKENSTEIN and more.

As far as I know AT HOME WITH THE MUNSTERS is the only record with actual cast actors voices on it.

This third record has a teenage group playing cool surf/ rock and roll music with MUNSTERS inspired lyrics. I like the music a lot.

Here's a photo from the back of the album of the group...

I have two MUNSTERS coloring books. This one...

And this one.

Here's an example of the inside of the last coloring book...

Here's one of the '60's comics. I think I have three more issues.

These boxed puzzles have nice illustrations on them.

Here's a second boxed puzzle. They made a third one with a nice illustration of them sitting around the house but I don't have that one.

This is a set of rubber squeak toys. I think these were made in Spain.

Here's my 60's Remco Herman. They made Lily and Grandpa too, but I don't have them. Remco made other sets like these of the Beatles and The Addams Family, too.

These are resin castings from the 1960's Emenee Castex 5 casting set.

Here's two pictures from the 1960's Velvet paint set. I got these off e-bay a while back but it might have been from someone on the UMA. Maybe ToyRanch, I can't remember. Anyway, thanks 'cuz I like them a lot.

Flicker rings...

The MUNSTERS thermos. I'll get the lunchbox one of these days.

1960's hardcover book with a story called "The Camera Caper". They made a second book called "The Last Resort" which I also have, but I don't have a photo of it.

This is a squeak head that you can mount on your bike. If a human crosses your path you squeeze it and it emits a very loud high pitched "Squeak!"
and they'll run away.

I have some other MUNSTERS stuff like the Aurora living room and some '60's magazines and some dolls and figures, but I don't have photo's of them.
Anyway, hope you liked looking at them.

Monolith! I so admire your Munster collection!! I just know I had those coloring books.......ahhhhh..the hours of fun I had coloring those pictures   :)
If you had shown a picture of the Munster paperdolls I had when I was 5, and am constantly daydreaming about, my head would have exploded!!
And confetti would have come out of my neck!  Hahahaha!!! I really do think about those paperdolls alot- they were my prized posession back then!
I also adore those velvet painting  :)  All your Munsters treasures are so wonderful!!  Thanks for the show!

Nice Munsters collection, mine is rather small at the time being; some comics, the Spanish squeaky toys, small lunchbox, Little Big Heads, a few figures/plush dolls and this frame tray puzzle-

Really want to had a vintage lunchbox and a few other of those items you showed us!

I guess it's a good thing I don't have those paper dolls. I know exactly which ones your talking about, though. I would like to get them sometime.

Zombiehorror--- That frame tray puzzle has a really great illustration on it. I've seen that before, but I don't have one of those.

Manoman! This makes me want MUNSTERS STUFF BAD! the kids and I have the musters complete seasons on dvd and watch it over and over. I loved watching them as a kid. They were syndicated reruns, but I didn't know that at the time. They were new to me, and seemed to be made for me.
Mirabile dictu,don't you agree?

Great collection of Munsters stuff! (Some of which looks quite familiar.) Would love to know who did that beautiful illustration used for both the jigsaw puzzle and the Whitman book. Look at Marilyn's hand, making a very Lily-like gesture.

According to the Frankensteinia blog Arnold Kohn did several of the Munsters illustrations http://frankensteinia.blogspot.com/2009/03/art-of-munsters-arnold-kohn.html.  Not sure if he did the puzzle!??!

Nice reference find, zombiehorror. The Frankensteinia blog has a terrific jpeg of Kohn's Munsters art.
