Man I wish Universal would release this already (or I wish I could find a decent bootleg, I already have a bad one).
The movie made a particular impression on me when I saw it in the 70's since I think it was the first time I ever saw someone beheaded on camera.

You can watch the MST3k version on YouTube.
This was one of my favorites as a kid, too, maybe because when I started watching it, I had no preconceptions of whatit would be about, just the title in the TV guide.

Yeah, saw it at the Eastman House. Wasn't that the first movie to show a beheading?

Likewise, I wish this was out on an official release. I have fond memories of catching this on a late night TV show, probably a Shock Theatre.
As a Dark Shadows fan, I find this one especially of interest and it heavily influenced the 1840/Judah Zachery story, with a headless warlock also attempting to reclaim his lost body. Both had great creepy moments.
I would say the film seemed long and drawn out in my memory, but the end had a great payoff.

My music is for Phoenix. Only she can sing it. Anyone else who tries, dies.
