Monsters HD and Dish Network
« on: May 15, 2008, 04:25:51 PM »
I noticed yesterday that Dish network has removed Monsters HD from their line-up.  I was just starting to enjoy it again as they were showing the Monsterama's that Dan and crew worked so hard on and The Bride of Frankenstein.  I was hoping to see more of the Classics.

I called them and they filed my complaint.  I also sent an email from their Website.

Please let them know we want it back!

I don't suppose anybody knows where one could procure some HD episodes of Monsterama... I love that show... all the toys, masks, props.

I saw last night that all the VOOM network channels were gone, including Monster HD.  What a crock.  Not much point in having HD satellite without those channels.  Yes, I was enjoying the return of Monsterama and more variety in the movie rotation.

I signed it, but I wish the person who started the petition knew how to spell and form correct sentences.

I signed this as well I also called to complain and ask for my bill to be reduced since they took away my favorite channels, which was the only reason I signed up in the first place. I was told by a Dish Network representative that the more people to call and voice there opinion and let them know we want the channel back the more likely that will happen. Apparently some of the other Voom channels also had low ratings which was the cause of it being removed. I was also told that Dish Network was aware of the on-line complaints and they were in discussion with the Voom network.

Maybe part of the reason the ratings were low was due to the fact that they didn't show enough variety. I love watching certain Monster flicks over and over again but they just need to show a bigger variety of Horror, Sci-Fi monster flicks....in my opinion. I hope they bring the channel back or I will switch service.

It probably had something to do with Voom's insistence on carrying their entire package of channels.  There were maybe three that actually had a following, like MonstersHD, but the rest probably had so few viewers, a test signal would have gotten better ratings.

I also dropped my high-def package to a basic hd.  I will end up switching to Direct if they don't bring back atleast some of the Voom.
